The short version.My Parents helps a family keep a parent’s health records in one place. You may only connect records you and the patient have authorized. The app shows and explains information; it does not give medical advice. In an emergency, call 911.
These Terms govern your use of My Parents (“the app”), operated by Edenville Labs LLC (“we,” “us”). By using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. What My Parents is
My Parents is a private tool for a family to view, organize, and add notes to an aging parent’s health information. It is for personal, family-care use. It is not a healthcare provider, not an insurer, and not a medical service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the app. Access is invite-only: you may use it only if an account holder has added your email to the account’s access list.
3. Patient-directed access
When you connect a provider, the app retrieves records under the patient’s individual right to access their own health information. The connection uses the patient’s own portal login. By connecting a provider you confirm that you have the patient’s consent, or that you are a caregiver authorized to act on the patient’s behalf, to access and store those records in the app.
4. Caregivers and authorized representatives
If you connect or manage a parent’s records, you represent that you are permitted to do so, either by the parent’s consent or by a legal authority such as a power of attorney or healthcare proxy. You are responsible for using that access appropriately and respectfully.
5. No medical advice
The information and AI-generated explanations in the app are for general understanding only. They are not medical adviceand are not a substitute for a licensed clinician. Always rely on the patient’s doctors for diagnosis, treatment, and any decision about medication or care. In an emergency, call 911.
6. Accuracy of records
Clinical records come from the patient’s providers. The app displays what those providers have on file and does not change it. Corrections to a medical record must be made with the provider that created it.
7. Acceptable use
- Use the app lawfully and only for the family-care purpose above.
- Do not share your sign-in link or let unauthorized people in.
- Do not misuse, copy, or redistribute another person’s records.
- Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app.
8. Accounts and access
You are responsible for activity under your access. Tell us right away if you believe someone gained access who should not have. We may suspend or remove access that violates these Terms or puts the data at risk.
9. Third-party services
The app connects to your providers through Fasten Connect and relies on your providers’ patient portals. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the providers’ systems or the accuracy of the data they supply.
10. Privacy
How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
11. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or complete.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edenville Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to hold Edenville Labs LLC harmless from claims arising out of your use of the app or your breach of these Terms, including connecting records you were not authorized to access.
14. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and ask us to delete the data. We may suspend or end access that violates these Terms. You can disconnect providers and request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will give notice. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
